The kids last day of school was yesterday, although I think the last day of class work was 3 weeks ago. Which was kind of a bummer because Chase had a B+ in reading missing an A by 1/2 a point. If they had done more work the last 3 weeks he may have had a chance to bring it up to an A. Overall for the year his grade was an A in reading, just the last grading period was a B+. He had over 100% in both spelling and science, and A+'s in math and gym (of course), he also had an A in social studies. Although he'll tell you he hates school he does really well. CheyAnn ended the year will all S+'s and S's which would translate to A's and B's, next year she will be getting all letter grades. She had over 100% in spelling and ended the year at a 3rd grade reading level. She had a really good year and her teacher (that I didn't want her to have) ended up being a really good fit for her. She's still the baby of the family but she really matured a lot this school year.
Chase is playing baseball and loves to play catcher. His team is having some batting trouble but they play the field really well. They are playing in a tournament this weekend so hopefully they'll get some hits and do well.
CheyAnn's poor softball team has only won 1 game, but they are having fun and I guess at her age that's the most important thing. She is on a really young team and I swear they all have ADD because they can only focus for about 5 minutes at a time. The girls (my own included) will be in the field and after the 2nd batter it's like they've forgotten what they are doing. It is so funny, but also very frustrating for the poor coach. He's a good guy though and really trying hard to teach them.
More later.

Whoops forgot to hit publish, so this post is about 5 days late. I'm becoming a bad blogger. Pictures later this week.
